M.T.O.I. General Sessions

Did you know that M.T.O.I. wants to hear from you? That's right - we want to know what is happening in your life and how M.T.O.I. can be there for you. Each month M.T.O.I. holds a General Session that is open to everyone. Our general sessions are unique - a bit like a town hall meeting, a family reunion, and group therapy - all rolled into one great session.

The town hall meeting part covers an overview of what M.T.O.I. is currently working on. What are the leaders working on? What are some projects being planned? What changes are coming up? What events or special conferences are scheduled? And other things related to the general operation of M.T.O.I.

The family reunion part is all of us unique individuals coming together with one thing in common - being part of M.T.O.I. And each of us is kind of like crazy cousin Fred, trying to walk out our path of righteousness one step at a time. Sometimes falling down, sometimes going in circles, and sometimes just completely lost. If this describes you in any way, be sure to join us! We work hard at providing a safe, friendly, and respectful environment where everyone has a voice and can ask questions.

And finally, because we are all at such different points in our lives, sometimes the meetings turn into a group therapy session with a little teaching, a little preaching, some guidance, and a whole lot of love, support, and patience from the M.T.O.I. Leadership Team. We recognize that walking the right path can sometimes be challenging. Rest assured, we are here for you!

Are you interested? Intrigued? Want to know more? All the details for joining us are below:

The next meeting is scheduled for:

Date: May 13, 2018
Time: 8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST

To join us on this wonderful time of fellowship:

  1. Click on this link and it will direct you to Adobe Connect and the M.T.O.I. General Session page.
  2. Enter as a Guest by typing in your name and clicking on the Enter Room button. Do not select the Enter with your login and password option.
  3. Once you have entered the room, you must enable your microphone. Go to the top of the screen and click on the microphone icon. A small window will pop up. Click on the Allow button to enable your microphone.
  4. Once your microphone has been enabled, please mute it by clicking on the microphone icon. A single click on this icon will mute and unmute your microphone as needed.
  5. Please note: if you do not have a microphone, you can still participate as Adobe Connect features a robust chat room platform.
  6. Spend a little bit of time reviewing Adobe Connect's interface so that you can easily chat with the group, raise your hand to volunteer to read or to particpate vocally in the discussion, and how to activate and deactivate your microphone.
  7. We use a numbering system to help communicate with each other: (1) means "yes" or that you agree; it also means that you can hear the speaker through the microphone. (2) means "no" or that you don't understand; it also means that you cannot hear the speaker. (5) means that someone has a lot of information that they want to type in the chat room but need some time to get it all entered.
  8. Finally, we do record all aspects of the General Session, including audio and the chat dialogue.
