Rabbi Steve Berkson emphasizes the importance of being aware of death to inspire us to make the most of our time in this life. He cites scripture after scripture showing that death has always been part of God’s plan, and that the wages of sin is death, but the reward for living according to the commandments of Elohim, which are relevant today, is eternal life.
